The Professional Online Teacher (TPOT)
This workshop focuses on developing foundational skills for online teaching excellence. It covers three core areas: strategies for continuous professional growth, responsible digital resource usage, and effective management of teaching responsibilities. You will explore lifelong learning practices, digital citizenship, time management strategies, and ways to maintain high-quality learning environments while ensuring student safety and success.

- Create a personalized professional development learning plan that includes specific goals and timelines for improving online teaching practice.
- Reflect on your current technological proficiency and digital citizenship practices and develop a plan for continued growth in the responsible and effective use of emerging technologies.
- Evaluate your non-instructional professional responsibilities and outline actionable steps to strengthen these areas in your professional development learning plan.
Ability to read and write standard business English.
- 10-15 hours to complete at their own pace during the three-week period
- Computer with internet access
Workshops open monthly on the first Wednesday and close after three weeks. The work is self-paced with a portfolio assignment submitted to a facilitator upon completion (prior to workshop closure).
